Come and see what’s new at Cabot Highlands – Old Petty awaits!
If you’ve ever stood on the grounds of Castle Stuart, you know how special this place is. Perched along the Moray Firth, it offers sweeping views, dramatic skies, and that classic Highland charm. It’s a place that stays with you.
Now, there’s even more to fall in love with.
Cabot Highlands is opening Old Petty, a brand-new Tom Doak-designed course, for preview play from 1 August to 30 September 2025. This is your first chance to glimpse what’s to come before the full opening in 2026. Designed to complement the original layout, Old Petty offers rugged beauty, thoughtful design, and the perfect level of challenge. Trust us – you’ll want to be one of the first to walk it.
This 18-hole course celebrates Inverness’s rich history. Doak’s clever routing takes you along a tidal estuary, past the historic Old Petty Church (built in 1839), and up close to Castle Stuart itself. It’s walking-only, exclusive, and absolutely stunning. The course’s logo even honours the local “coo” – the iconic Highland cow – and the landscape’s deep, earthy colours.
The spirit of the Highlands is woven into every detail.
