In June John Jung Junior became the first golfer to have a hole in one, whilst on a Bonnie Wee Golf tour. John aced the par 3 15th hole and received a certificate from Turnberry. LAHINCH GOLF CLUB

Lahinch Golf Club, located on Ireland’s stunning west coast in County Clare, has a rich history dating back to March 1892 when Alexander Shaw, Richard Plummer, and officers from the Black Watch Regiment discovered the ideal sand dunes for a golf course. On their second visit in April, they laid out the first course. The first round of golf was played on Good Friday, April 15, 1892, between Lieutenant William McFarlane and William F. McDonnell, a Limerick businessman, using feathers and sticks to mark the course.

Trump International Golf Links Doonbeg, located along Ireland’s stunning Wild Atlantic Way, has a rich history dating back to 1892 when officers of the Scottish Black Watch Regiment first recognized its potential for links golf. In the 1990s, the Doonbeg Community Development Company championed the concept of a golf course, leading to the purchase of 377 acres of pristine links land from local farming families.

Acquired by Doonbeg Golf Club Ltd. in 1999, construction began on the course, designed by legendary golfer Greg Norman. The course officially opened on July 9, 2002, with Greg Norman defeating Padraig Harrington in an exhibition match.

Outside of golf, Lewis is a dedicated sports fan, supporting Chelsea Football Club and regularly attending rugby matches at Murrayfield to cheer on the Scottish national team.

After completing university, Lewis embraced his adventurous spirit, travelling across the globe to destinations such as New Zealand, Australia, Thailand, Vietnam, and Sri Lanka. In 1851, a group of 57 founding members who regularly gathered at the Red Lion Inn made the historic decision to form a golf club. They purchased two cottages opposite the tavern to serve as the club’s first base.

A simple stone cairn located to the west of Prestwick’s iconic clubhouse marks the spot where the very first Open Championship tee shot was struck in 1860. CARNOUSTIE GOLF LINKS

Carnoustie has hosted some of the most memorable moments in golf history. Major champions like Tom Watson, Padraig Harrington, Paul Lawrie, and Francesco Molinari all claimed their first Major victories at Carnoustie. Legendary golfer Ben Hogan famously played in—and won—his only Open Championship here. Although Hogan was initially unimpressed by Carnoustie’s lack of hills and trees, he quickly learned that a links course presents unique challenges. Kevin’s journey into the world of golf tourism is rooted in his lifelong passion for the sport. Before joining the team, Kevin honed his hospitality skills at the renowned five-star Marcliffe Hotel in Aberdeen, where he mastered the art of exceptional customer service.

When he’s not coordinating tours, Kevin can often be found on the golf course himself, enjoying a round or two and perfecting his game. He shares a friendly rivalry with Cam at Bonnie Wee Golf, often competing at Deeside Golf Club to see who can claim the bragging rights for the best score.

Cam’s journey in the golf industry has been seasoned with experience, including a stint at Trump International along with his passion for playing golf. During his time there, he honed his skills and gained invaluable insights into delivering unparalleled service and creating memorable golfing experiences.

When he’s not organising the perfect golf tour, you can catch Cam on the fairways of Deeside, where his competitive spirit comes out! He often engages in spirited rivalries, especially with his Bonnie Wee colleague Kevin.

Off the course Cam is often found enjoying some nice beer or a wee tequila with his girlfriend Lois, he’s a big Newcastle fan ⚽️ and he dotes on his rescue dog, Edgar 🐕

Stewart Morrison

Managing Director

Stewart Morrison the dynamic Managing Director of Bonnie Wee Golf and cousin to Founder David Harris, is the heartbeat behind the seamless execution of our Bonnie Wee tours.

Stewart’s love affair with golf began during childhood summers spent with David on the golf courses on the Isle of Arran on Scotland’s west coast and other legendary Scottish courses. This shared passion eventually led him to join Bonnie Wee Golf. With a background in hospitality, Stewart brings over 15 years of expertise to Bonnie Wee Golf, guaranteeing each client enjoys a smooth and memorable golfing journey. Stewart will mark his 10 year anniversary with Bonnie Wee later this summer (2024).

When Stewart isn’t crafting golf tours, paying the company bills or keeping the team organised, he thrives on the fast-paced action of squash. You can often find him at the local squash club – on the court or in the bar!

Fun facts about Stew: He’s completed an Ironman triathlon and is a sucker for True Crime tv shows and podcasts.

Rachel is a proud mum to two young kids who enjoy being part of the extended Bonnie Wee Golf team. Never one to sit still, when she’s not planning golf trips, Rachel is trying to become a better runner and is an enthusiastic beginner golfer. Her dedication to the sport paid off last year when she celebrated her first birdie at the iconic Royal Dornoch.
